Old Mill of Guilford

Old Mill of Guilford

Old Mill, Oak Ridge, NC, Greensboro, NC

In 1767, the Old Mill of Guilford began producing flours and other grains for early settlers of our area.  243 years later, this fully operational, water powered, 18th-century grist mill is still in operation.  It is listed on the National Registery of Historic Places.

It is a fun, quick stop on your way to Oak Ridge, just minutes from Greensboro.   With the buzz of traffic from North 68 in the background, it is truly like stepping from one era to another.  Stop in to purchase a variety of flours, corn meals, grits, and other local products. Locals swear by their quality and some refuse to buy grains from anywhere else!

They warmly welcome visitors, artists and photographers.  Old Mill at Guilford is open every day from 9:00-5:00.  Contact them at (336) 643-4783.
