The Hamilton Lakes Neighborhood Association is a vibrant organization that organizes picnics, clean-up days and keeps a protective eye on the lakes and parks. Hamilton Lakes has two lakes, Lake Hamilton and Lake Euphemia, which are home to a multitude of birds, webbed-footed friends, fish, turtles and even beavers. The Hamilton Lakes neighborhood also has several parks that enhance the natural beauty of the neighborhood. The neighborhood was designed to preserve as much of the natural beauty of the area as possible. You can also join the Hamilton Lakes Swim and Tennis Club to relax by the pool, hang out in the clubhouse, or play tennis.
The southern part of Hamilton Lakes borders the spectacular Starmount Forest Country Club. The 150 acres of this club include a golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and a pool. The clubhouse is 32,000 square feet and features the latest amenities. Starmount Forest Country Club was completed in 1930 and was named for the developer's wife, Blanche Sternberger. Starmount is the English translation for Sternberger, which is German in origin. Sternberger is also the name of the local elementary school.
