Guilford Hills is located in Greensboro, NC between Battleground Avenue and Benjamin Parkway, immediately north of Green Valley Road. The northern boundary crosses over Benjamin Parkway by the library, at Westmoreland Road. Guilford Hills is home to the soon-to-be newly-renovated Benjamin Branch Public Library and Guilford Hills Park. The Elks Club on Cornwallis Drive is within walking distance of many homes in the neighborhood and features three swimming pools, a billard room and dining room. General Greene Elementary is located across the street from the library. It is an award-winning magnet school, featuring a comprehensive science and technology curriculum, and is part of the Guilford County Public Schools system. Magnet Schools of America recently named General Greene as a School of Distinction, only one of five schools in Guilford County to earn this designation. The students learn through lots of hands-on activities, such as creating Power Point presentations, using PDAs to record data and create charts and conducting a multitude of science and physics experiments. There is no charge to attend this school.

Guilford Hills has an extremely active neighborhood association known as Guilford Hills Unification Committee. This vibrant neighborhood has many community events. The warm glow of luminaries brighten the entire neighborhood every December. In addition, Guilford Hills Unification Committee sponsors park clean-ups, a Fall Festival, Neighborhood Yard Sales, a Holiday Decorating Contest and a Christmas Party. Guilford Hills also supports local charities, such as Ronald McDonald House, Urban Ministries and Murphy's Kids, a charity created by Jack Murphy, a popular deejay at Q107 Radio, that financially assists children.
