Greensboro Grasshoppers Baseball
Greensboro Grasshoppers play throughout the season at the new, highly-acclaimed NewBridge Bank Park in downtown Greensboro.
The Hoppers are the Class A Affiliate for the Florida Marlins. Prior to October 2004, they were known as the Greensboro Bats and played at War Memorial Stadium. The new stadium opened for the 2005 season.
Games are very well-attended. According to their website, they are the only Class A team in history to welcome over 400,000 sports fans.
The Hoppers offer many activities to draw fans, including Thirsty Thursdays, with $1 draft beers, family nights, with special activities for children, and fireworks on Friday nights. They also have a playground that is very popular with younger fans.
Tickets are reasonably priced, starting at just $6 for lawn seats, with discounts for senior citizens and children under 12. Children 4 years old and under are free, if they don't require a seat. Check out the 2010 schedule and don't miss out on the fun!
