Greensboro Academy
Greensboro Academy is a charter school located off of 220 (also known as Battleground Avenue), just north of the intersection where Horsepen Creek and Old Battleground Avenue cross over Battleground Avenue.
The school opened in 1999 and offers classes from kindergarten through eighth grade. As a charter school, Greensboro Academy is a public school run by a school management organization, National Heritage Academies. Charter schools receive funding from the state and various other sources so they do not charge tuition. It is non-sectarian and is held accountable to state and federal education regulations.
