Children's Museum of Greensboro
Greensboro Children's Museum is another popular place to take your little ones in Greensboro. It is located in downtown Greensboro at 220 North Church Street, directly across the street from the Central Public Library and a block away from the Cultural Arts Center and Art Quest.
It features a store, where young shoppers can practice grocery shopping, a media room, where you can try your hand at being a news anchor or weather person, and the transportation room, with a chance to get in a real NASCAR, police car and airplane. There is also a tot room, reserved for those 5 years-old and younger, and an area to make gigantic bubbles.
Just opened in May 2010! The Greensboro Children's Museum now is home to an Edible Schoolyard! An Edible Schoolyard is an opportunity for kids to get up-close and personal with their food. Children can experience how foods are grown and create healththy meals and snacks from foods collected in the garden. Many types of vegetables, fruits and herbs are gronw here all year! There are even a few chickens and turkeys that call the garden home.
