ACC Hall of Champions

ACC Hall of Champions

The ACC Hall of Champions is the newest attraction in Greensboro.  Opened to the public on March 3, 2011, this facility is dedicated the the rich history of Atlantic Coast Conference athletics.

The Hall features multi-media exhibits, life-sized mascots and interactive broadcasts to provide a comprehensive view of the first 58 years of ACC history.

Greensboro was chosen as the home of the ACC Hall of Champions because we have traditionally been the host of the annual ACC basketball tournaments.  The ACC tournaments are somewhat of an obsession here in Greensboro and throughout the south.  The ACC reaches as far north as the Boston University and the University of Maryland all the way down to Florida State and the University of Miami.  On days when Duke plays the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill (known locally just as "Carolina"), Greensboro is awash in dark and light blue as fans don their favorite team's colors.  Good-natured smack talk is heard throughout the city, including in offices, stores and schools.

The ACC Hall of Champions is housed in a brand-new building on the grounds of the Greensboro Coliseum.  The regular hours are Wednesday-Saturday 10:00-4:00, Sunday 1:00-4:00 and closed on Monday and Tuesday.  During the ACC tournament, hours are extended so check the ACC Hall of Champions website for more details.  Tickets are just $5.  The ACC Hall of Champions is located at 1921 West Lee Street, Greensboro, NC.
